Find the white PVC drain line near the air handler. Locate the access tee (a T shaped fitting with a cap). Remove the cap. Pour in 1 cup of distilled white vinegar. Replace the cap.

Do this every 3 months. Total cost: 50 cents in vinegar. Prevents 90% of clogged drain emergencies.
